Encouraging and equipping believers to make disciples, one home at a time

Summer Challenge Schedule

Summer is a great time to connect with your neighbors. Neighborhood Gatherings are a great way to get people together in your neighborhood in a non-threatening way.

Troy and Ashley Dawson have put together packets that have ideas and steps to follow to make it easy. We'll have these packets available after each service. Troy and Ashley will also be available to help brainstorm, think through and pray for your event.

Feel free to email the Dawsons if you have any questions. We encourage you to try at least one this summer!

Thursdays | 4-7 pm | July-September

We will have a booth set up at the Wauconda Farmers Market with water and we will be available to pray for people.

This may sound like a crazy concept, but we know of a church that did this in a neighboring county and they were pleasantly surprised at how many people lined up for prayer each week.

We encourage you to come pray for our community! Sign up for an hour slot on Sunday in the Gathering Place. We ask that you to come to one of the brief Prayer Booth trainings immediately following the second service in the Youth Room (up the stairs above the Gym entrance). The trainings are on the following Sundays:

  • June 24
  • July 8
  • July 22
  • August 5
  • August 19

Click to see a video from Pastor Bob about Faithfulness Flower Jars.

Take home a Faithfulness Flower Jar on Sunday morning and pray for your neighbors (You can also contact the office to get a jar or more flower petals during the week). The flowers help remind us to lift our neighbors before the Lord in prayer and to participate in the various areas of Summer Challenge.

The flowers also encourage us as we bring the petals to church each week and watch our collective faithfulness grow in a large glass vase called the Faithfulness Vase.

Let's see what God does with our faithfulness as we pray for our neighbors and participate in the areas of Summer Challenge 2018!

We collected food in each neighborhood for Faith Acres and the Wauconda Food Pantry. We had a great year!

We invite you to join us for 40 Days of Prayer to keep our hearts focused during Summer Challenge and to pray for other areas of the church this summer. It's not too late to join!

There will be a corresponding prayer booklet you can pick up on Sunday as well. You may also download or pick up the booklet during office hours.

To sign up for prayer texts, email info@lbccmail.org and say "I would like to be on the prayer text list." Make sure to give your phone number including the area code.
